This Privacy Policy sets out our commitment to protecting the privacy of your personal information that we collect through this website, hammertechonline.com (Site) or directly from you.

  1. Worker Personal Information

This section 1 applies to worker personal information.

Worker Personal Information means personal information about a worker, including contact details, address, next of kin, injury data, medical checklists, and other sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act.

We will not share Worker Personal Information uploaded as part of a registration or induction with a third party.

Worker Personal Information stored within our platform is provided with additional privacy protections. We treat Worker Personal Information and its privacy with the upmost security and respect. We recognise the right to privacy for all workers.

We maintain firewalls, anti-virus, network segmentation and other reasonable mechanisms to secure Worker Personal Information.

Permitted usage: Worker Personal Information uploaded as part of an online registration or online induction will not be used by us directly for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than as minimally required to operate our services.

Worker Data Aggregation: Worker Personal Information supplied by a worker is isolated in the environment of the company to which it is supplied, and will not be combined, analyzed or aggregated in conjunction with data supplied to other parties.

We will not seek to aggregate or form profiles of workers across client environments.

Data Access Records: We will maintain records of all access to Worker Personal Information, for a period of at least 12 months.

Data Locality: For clients in Australia and New Zealand, we will never transfer or store Worker Personal Information outside of Australia.

For clients located in the United States or Canada, we will never transfer or store Worker Personal Information out of the United States.

In the event of an inconsistency between this section 1 and the rest of this privacy policy, this section 1 will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

  1. Collection of personal information

Personal Information: The type of information we collect may include:

  • name;
  • contact details including email address, address and telephone number;
  • date of birth;
  • emergency contact details for a third party, including name and phone number;
  • medical checklist overview;
  • Permits to Work and other licences relating to construction;
  • details of profession, and licences, including licences for operating machinery and performing construction services;
  • car registration;
  • profile picture;
  • insurance details;
  • certificates of currency;
  • plant and equipment information;
  • details of safety incidents and injuries;
  • site diary information;
  • demographic information such as postcode;
  • preferences and opinions; and
  • any other information requested on this Site or otherwise requested by us or provided by you.

We may collect the above information from individuals, corporations, contractors and sole traders including additional information provided by you that refers to third parties.

Your use of our Site: As with most online businesses, we may log information about your access and use of our Site, including through the use of Internet cookies, your communications with our Site, the type of browser you are using, the type of operating system you are using and the domain name of your Internet service provider.

Our software system allows you to control who has access to your information.

Sensitive information will be used and disclosed for the primary purpose for which the sensitive information was collected, being use by our clients using the software and software related services available through our Site.

Sensitive information may also be used or disclosed if required or authorised by law.

When you provide us with your personal information, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and to us disclosing or receiving your personal information for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

We rely in part upon customers advising us when their personal information changes. We will respond to any request within a reasonable time.
